About Richard

Hi, I’m Richard Hickman, founder of Piqued Consulting.

For over a decade, I worked in cybersecurity and incident response—high pressure, high stakes, and all problems have a deadline. I also built and grew my own cybersecurity firm using marketing systems and CRM automations… and eventually had a successful exit.

Then life changed fast. I got married and became a stepdad to five kids overnight. And in incident response, when a company gets hacked, it doesn’t matter what’s going on at home—you work.

So I left cybersecurity and built Piqued Consulting to help other businesses grow using the same skills that grew mine: demand generation, automation, and systems that scale.

Outside of work, I’m a family guy (father of six), and you’ll usually find me doing one of three things: woodworking, hunting, or training. Same mindset across all of it: direct, solve the problem, move on.

What I want you to trust about me is simple: competence and honesty. If something won’t work, I’ll tell you. If it will, we’ll build it right.
